WHEN EXES BECOME Y

WHEN EXES BECOME Y

7days since we talked; I missed you guys like nonsense. Anyhow, let’s get down to business…..

X is declared an international disaster especially by the lovers of 1+1=11(see what I did). However, if we went out of books, it is commonly used to mean ex, yaani, mchumba mliyeachana. It so happens that in this 21st century, quite a good number of us have more exes than the strokes of cane Jaramogi’s son received in the `fimbo mashinani’ series. These exes though turn to be y’s in certain situations; that is they come knocking at the door again. Well well well, how about we break the monotony of the `Uhuru entrusts Ruto with the seat of power and Raila cannot entrust Kalonzo with the okoa Kenya signature book’ and get down to the aforesaid situations.  Twende kazi……..

So you just broke up with your only potato in your matoke and life is not the same again. The hair allowances, conjugal benefits, are no more and your relationship status changes to single; it’s just a great turnabout. It is at this time that one starts missing the ex ex, the 2nd ex from the recent ex. You guys start communicating, flirting, and before you know it, you are singing `ilianza na kaselfie’. That’s how exes begin enjoying the benefits and the x graduates to Y.

I have this feeling that when Moses was given the 10commandments, he so much wanted to write `Thou shall not compare yourself to others, it is the thief of happiness’. This lady steals a man’s heart and they call it love, only that he doesn’t treat her better like her ex. She compares the two, triggering some kind of miss-ments of the ex. Lady oh lady that is when the ex is texted `miss you like crazy hun’. He who was an ex turns to something else.

Imagine he/she was your 24/07 company; to the bathroom, kitchen, school, club, just everywhere. One morning you exercise your tantrum throwing skills and this becomes a turn off mechanism to your love. What follows is `I have decided to say goodbye to this relationship thing, we can just be friends’. Having no company, loneliness creeps in and all you can think is how important he/she was to you. However, the just being friends thing last for a month or weeks because in ways more than one, the loneliness issues need to be sorted.

This is our generation…….we should however know that CHOICES HAVE CONSEQUENCES. Have you ever been in such a situation, what’s your story?

THE SERIES HOW I NEVER MET YOUR FATHER RESUMES NEXT WEEK!!!KEEP POSTED

About The Unique Mumbi

I smile a lot; let’s just say I am a smiling machine. I have never felt how it feels to have an English name; in that case, you can call me unique. Writing became part of me after my first and best heartbreak ever. Wasn’t this man an angel? Slow internet makes me want to scream, and cashew nuts love me too.
